| The Stockers developed their interest in viticulture while living in Switzerland. On returning to Australia in 1987, they sought sunny slopes on the north of the Great Dividing range and began planting Cab Sauvignon and Shiraz with the aim of achieving a high quality, low-yielding vineyard. It has thrived in the shallow, weathered ironstone soils. Over two decades on, the vines are happy and Jo and John are increasing production under their Brave Goose label.
